Agrego a la pregunta de Ruben:
Y si realmente son la misma especie ¿porque es que la ternetzi es mas grande que la nattereri entonces?

Traduccion:
And, if is real nattereri and ternetzi are the same specie ¿why is the ternetzi more bigger than nattereri?

Re: Son P.Ternetzi y P.Nattereri la misma piraña?
There is very little size difference between Paraguay nattereri than from Amazonian nattereri. Little as 50 mm. Why they look huge is because of body girth, not length. Aquarium P. nattereri are not usually wild and few people see wild P. nattereri as full grown adults. If they did, we wouldn't be having this discussion on the differences other than color.
Ternetzi was described from a damaged P. nattereri. In otherwords, Steindauhner 1908 who described ternetzi, got it wrong. A very unique specimen type lost to science, but verified from later scientists who saw "ternetzi" that it was a damaged specimen with a chopped off (bit) anal fin.
Argentina P. nattereri same thing. They are egregiously being called ternetzi, but the species was not described from there. Might the Argentina species being a new species of Pygocentrus? At this time, no.

So in conclusion to what Frank says is now thought to be the same species until proven otherwise ... So I understood.
